Leaf Personal looks exactly like it's name sates, a large leaf that can be folded. This piece was designed by Yves Béhar for Herman Miller. Its thin aluminum blades produce an elegant profile, which give these contemporary light fixtures a sculptural, and organic form. The Leaf accommodates a wide range of operation. The lower blade rotates 180 degrees and can pivot 27.5 degrees forward and 23 degrees backward. The upper blade pivots 210 degrees to give you the option of extending it for direct lighting or folding it for subtle, ambient illumination.

For all the Environment friendly folks, you will be happy to learn that theLeaf Personal uses less of the world's resources to give better light. Leaf has 20 LEDs (light-emitting diodes) which consume about 8 to 9 watts of power, and sheds full light for a minimum of 60,000 hours, which is about eight times longer than conventional light sources. To top it off Leaf is one of the the Contemporary Light Fixtures that is made of 37% recycled materials and is up to 95% recyclable at the end of its useful life.

Leaf Personal is one of the contemporary light fixtures that allows you to pick the level of illumination you desire ranging from warm mood light to cool night light and anywhere in between with the help of intuitive touch sensitive controls. You can change the intensity by simply sliding your finger on the control. The built in micro processor is smart enough to remember the intensity and color variation setting that you last selected and produces that same light when you turn it back on again.

These Contemporary Light Fixtures come in Red, Black, Nickel, and Chrome/Polished Aluminum color finishes.
